Sisterhood & Social Support

Black Mamas Village-ATX provides a variety of opportunities for members to connect including playdates, moms meet-ups, family camping trips and so much more. Geographical and identity-based sub-groups for mental health, parents of teens, and empty nesters means there’s something for everyone.

Economic Empowerment

In order to address the diversity of needs within our village, BMV provides financial education and assistance through our emergency fund, a forum for small business marketing, resource navigation and referrals.

Culture & Productivity

There is one thing that unites us as a group above all else, we are all mothers. The village that we are creating fosters deep lasting relationships for mothers, their children and entire family. Black families have the opportunity cultivate Black culture and foster belonging in Austin.

Community Connection

No woman is an island. In order to meet the diverse needs of mothers in the organization, connecting to other mission-aligned organizations, businesses, and individuals creates connection that is hard to obtain in a region where Black families live in numerous cities throughout the five county MSA.

“One word: RESOURCE. This group has been a WEALTH of knowledge for me. I am TRULY grateful for what this group offers and who we are called to serve.”
